TrailLog is published by Axon Studio. Your profile and recorded trip data are stored locally on your device; TrailLog does not operate a user-account server or upload your routes to Axon Studio.
TrailLog requests location permission when you choose to record or recenter. It requests notification permission so the required persistent recording notification can show elapsed time and distance. Internet access is used to load OpenStreetMap tiles and communicate with Google Play Billing.
Axon Studio does not sell, rent, or share your local profile or trip history. Google Play receives the information necessary to process and manage a subscription. Map tile requests are sent to the configured OpenStreetMap tile service.
Your profile and trip history remain on the device until you delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. In TrailLog, open Menu → Profile → Delete all local data to permanently remove the local profile and all trips, track points, stops, and notes. This does not cancel a Google Play subscription; subscriptions can be managed separately in Google Play.
Because TrailLog does not create a server account, there is no separate online account record to delete. See the TrailLog data-deletion instructions.
TrailLog uses Android app-private storage for its local database and disables Android cloud backup for app data. No storage method is completely risk-free, so keep your device secured and updated.
TrailLog is not directed to children under 13.
This policy may be updated as TrailLog changes. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
